Dear
Subscriber,
I
hope
you
enjoyed
a
refreshing
holiday
last
week.
I
spent
hours
playing
with
my
version
of
Heaven
on
Earth
--
beautiful
flowers.
You'll
probably
never
meet
anyone
who
loves
digging
in
the
dirt
more
than
I
do.
My
Sweetheart
for
the
last
16
years,
William,
and
I
enjoyed
a
day
off
laughing
at
the
antics
of
the
cats
who
adopted
us
last
year.
Animals
inspire
me
to
be
more
playful
and
curious.
Now
for
some
tips
that
I
guarantee
will
help
you
claim
even
more
happiness
at
work.

Banish
Bullies
at
Work
By
Doris
Helge,
Ph.D.
Is
there
a
jerk
where
you
work?
Have
you
ever
worked
with
an
honors
graduate
from
Bully
Bootcamp
who
intimidated,
threatened,
humiliated,
or
dominated
other
people?
You
deserve
a
work
environment
that
supports
your
peak
performance.
Discover
the
easiest
and
fastest
ways
to
banish
bully
behavior
.
.
.
SHOULD
YOU
BEWARE
OF
THE
BIG
BAD
BULLY?
Yes
.
.
.
and
no.
Although
it's
true
you
need
to
protect
yourself
from
potential
negative
actions
of
a
bully
at
work,
a
key
to
your
freedom
from
bullies
is
to
understand
who
they
are
underneath
their
mask
of
terror.
The
first
step
is
to
debunk
two
myths
about
bullies
and
their
victims.
Myth
#1.
Bullies
are
powerful.
Victims
are
wimps.
Truth:
Bullies
are
wimps.
Bullies
sometimes
seem
to
flex
mighty
muscles,
but
it's
not
because
they
feel
powerful.
Bullies
feel
so
insecure,
even
when
they
are
in
high-level
managerial
positions,
that
they
generally
use
undercover
control
tactics.
Examples
include
spreading
rumors
or
publicly
discrediting
a
coworker
in
an
effort
to
gather
group
support.
Myth
#2.
Bullies
target
the
most
vulnerable
(the
weakest)
workers.
Truth:
Bullies
generally
target
very
competent
employees.
Bullies
feel
so
powerless
to
successfully
compete
with
talented
people
that
they
usually
target
the
people
who
threaten
them
the
most.
They
try
to
sabotage
the
mental
health
and
performance
of
the
most
capable
employees.
These
targets
are
often
also
the
most
popular
workers.
